Christmas Happiness

My son, Jordan is a HUGE train fanatic. When my friend Angel was at Convention she sent me a text message of this new stamp set. He went crazy because "steamies" are his favorites!! He told me right then & there that WE WILL be using that stamp set for our Christmas cards because it reminded him of the Polar Express. So I finally broke down and ordered it last week. I have been looking for some different samples & found one that I really liked but it was done with black, grey & white only. Jordan first wanted it to be blue but then remembered Christmas Colors and picked these out. I am not sure that we are completely happy with it yet. So we will keep playing but at least wanted to get the idea out there. Who knows maybe it will end up being blue in the end.....blue is okay, right??

For this sample I stamped Whisper White Craft Ink onto Basic Black Card stock. Then I embossed it with Iridescent Ice to try & get the snowy effect onto it. Then it is layered on Real Red Card Stock & embellished with Red Gingham Ribbon. I also stamped the "Happiness is a Journey not a Destination" saying in Whisper White Craft Ink onto Garden Green Card stock & embossed it with Iridescent Ice. and layered that onto the Whisper White Card Stock that I stamped with the Polka Dot Background stamp in Real Red.

I would really love to hear what you think of this card. I am not quite sure what I think of it. Do you think it is missing something??

Thanks for looking & would love to hear your opinions!!

Tammy, I really think this is a great card. It does have the polar express look to it. I think embossing the verse with black might have tied together the color of the black engine. Maybe a black piece of hardware somewhere since it is an engine? Maybe? I have 2 little boys who are train crazy as well. They make life so much fun. I haven't showed them this set (I also bought it). I am going to make them their Christmas cards with it and "steal" your design. I love it!
