Here's is my attempt at creating a punched out Pikachu. Next to trains, my child has discovered & become obsessed with Pokemon.
For those of you who do not know, it is not only cards that you collect & trade but also a card game that teaches strategy. It has also helped with reading comprehension, concentration & much much more! There is a local store here in Green Bay called GNOME GAMES that has time for Pokemon League play and tournaments. It is a great thing!! We have made this one of Jordan's weekly rewards/incentives for having a good week at school. It has been a huge success!
This week Jordan was invited to a birthday party for a friend from his classroom. His friend, Brandon is also a Pokemon player so Jordan asked if I would try to create a Pokemon for him. This is what I came up with!! Jordan said the card was a hit at the birthday party. We also took it over to the store where the kids were playing Pokemon to see what they thought. They went crazy!!! Later, on our way home, Jordan told me I was the best Mom in the whole world!! That was worth all the time I put into trying to make the card.
